Two New Phenolic Glycosides from Homalium stenophyllum.

A phytochemical study of the stems of Homalium stenophyllum Merr. & Chun led to the isolation of two new phenolic glycosides (1 and 2) and three known compounds (3–5). The molecular structures of these isolated new phenolic glycosides (1 and 2) were unambiguously established on the basis of comprehensive spectroscopic methods. All the isolated new compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxicities against three human cancer cell lines: HeLa, A-549, and MCF-7 in vitro. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
