Abstract

The health emergency in Mexico City (CDMX) has made it vital to revitalize food supply models such as Short Marketing Chains (SMC), which can be constructed via structures such as El Mercado el 100 (M100). This article analyzes M100's potential to contribute to the food security of local spaces in CDMX. Additionally, the article defines how these structures responded to the current health emergency. SMC structures such as the M100 are models of agrifood associativity that emerge with renewed strength in times of crisis, promoting local food security in cities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
