Abstract

Understanding a full-body education requires knowledge of corporeity. Therefore, it seems essential to bring this subject to the Graduate Programs in Education in Brazil. This paper sought to identify and analyze Brazilian Graduate Programs in Education which have Body/Corporeity as a line of research. This is a qualitative research of documentary nature. For this, it was identified that 85 universities have Graduate Programs in Education, from which 14 have as research descriptors, the words body, corporeity, and corporal(s). In these 14 universities, it was identified that there are 17 lines of research on body/corporeity studies. The categorization carried out through Content Analysis identified four categories, which are: "body and languages" which brings together six lines of research/Higher Education Institution, followed by "body and culture" with five lines of research, "body and education" and "body and inclusion" with four lines each. It is concluded that the phenomenon body/corporeity is not well studied in Education Graduate Programs, taking into account its facets and complexity. It is dealt with in its integral form, overcoming the Cartesian conception of the supremacy of the mind over the body towards a more comprehensive understanding of human beings.
