Abstract

Histological examination of a representative nodule from the right thigh revealed venous cavernous malformation with glomus cells (Fig. Liquid sclerotherapy is a quick treatment option with few side effects and, compared with excision or laser ablation, does not cause any scars, especially if there are multiple nodules in visible body regions. Physiologically, they occur in glomus bodies and are associated with unmyelinated nerve fibres.6 This rare case of a patient with GVM and severe skin manifestation illustrates liquid sclerotherapy as a successful therapy option with very good responses.
