Abstract

This small collection of terrestrial earthworms from California and New Mexico produced one new state and nine new county records. Sparganophilus pearsei is reported from New Mexico for the first time. There are new county records for San Luis Obispo and Santa Clara Counties (California) and Catron, Grant, Hildalgo and Santa Fe Counties (New Mexico). Origin, distribution, reproduction and ecological type is given for each species reported. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
