Abstract
- The accurate measurement of phase ratio is needed to determine the thermodynamic parameters of reversed phase retention on lauryl acrylate PPMs used in a CEC mode. DOI: 10.1002/jssc.202001285 The cover picture shows the elegant direct measurement of phase ratio via capillary electrochromatography (CEC), using a porous polymer monolith (PPM) as the stationary phase. Linear van't Hoff plots combined with the newly acquired phase ratios yield enthalpies, entropies, and Gibbs free energies of retention for an alkyl benzene series of analytes across a thirty-degree temperature range.
