Abstract

Aiming at the problem that 5G downlink multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system works at millimeter wave frequency, and carries out beam selection with the Sub-6 GHz system, this paper analyzed the beam selection model of millimeter wave large-scale MIMO system and Sub-6 GHz system, and obtained spatial information from Sub-6 GHz system, and applied it to millimeter wave beam selection by logarithmic weighting. On this basis, beam selection adopted the heuristic greedy algorithm, which could match the strongest beam with low complexity and general performance. In order to match all users and beams optimally, this paper proposed a beam selection algorithm based on Hungarian algorithm, which could model the beam selection as the maximum weight matching on bipartite graph.
