Abstract

The software of digital PCR system lacked the function for classifying droplets of multiplex experiments. This paper proposed a grid regional DBSCAN clustering algorithm. Firstly, it mapped data to the gridded space and established gridded indexes ;then it calculated weights of grids and performing deep search expansion;finally,it mapped the clustering results in gridded space back to the data space . Tests on artificial datasets show that the proposed algorithm is able to identify the sample points in edge area and of high efficiency. On this basis, it proposed a classification method of digital PCR droplets based on grid regional DBSCAN clustering. It used both the proposed method and existing methods to classify digital PCR droplets. The results show that this method is a convenient and accurate method for classification of digital PCR droplets.
