New records of four termite species in the genus Embiratermes Fontes, 1985 (Isoptera, Termitidae, Syntermitinae) from South America.

Twelve new localities are reported for the following four Embiratermes species: E. ignotus Constantino, 1991; E. latidens (Emerson & Banks, 1957); E. silverstrii (Emerson, 1949); and E. spissus (Emerson & Banks, 1957). The new localities extend the distribution span from 940 km up to 1,800 km. Embiratermes latidens is recorded beyond Amazonia for the first time.
