Abstract

Being a teacher requires a specific basic training, which, according to Shulman (1987), is based on the intersection between pedagogical knowledge and content knowledge, in a triangulation with the knowledge of the context. A teacher training based on this theoretical framework will favor the development of more sustained and updated practices, which are crucial for the development of multiple competencies and for the approach of various (trans)disciplinary contents. In this article, we will reflect on the possible and necessary bridges between Linguistics and Didactics, advocating an inseparability between the teaching of language and literature in the first years of formal education. We will present as evidence the content analysis of a weekly integrating route for the 1st and 2nd years of schooling of the #EstudoEmCasa program, which took place during the first confinement in Portugal, in the context of the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
