Abstract

This article list products that will be unveiled during the Wi-Fi Planet Conference and Exposition to be held November 30 to December 2, 2004 at San Jose, California. Products will range from AirMagnet's multifunction application programs (AP), and InterDigital's client cards with steerable antennas, to VeriWave's test equipment for Voice-over Internet Protocol installations and Sesame Networks software to monitor guests on the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). AirMagnet will unveil a prototype multifunction AP that includes AirMagent intrusion detection and disk operating system attack software. Also expected at the conference is InterDigiatl's announcement of its entrance to the wireless-fidelity (Wi-Fi ) market with a solution called Adaptive Interference Management (AIM). According to Brett Attebery, product marketing manager at InterDigital, AIM monitors and reacts to interference using a unique antenna technology. Meanwhile, Veriwave is expected to unveil Traffic Generator, a device which verifies the quality and performance of devices used in Wi-Fi networks by emulating traffic then capturing and receiving data from test devices to analyze it. In addition, Sesame Networks will also announce a North American Channel program to resell its SesameSpots through VAR channel.
