Abstract
- The article is instructive and describes the important differential diagnoses to be aware of which mimic BCC and affect the oral mucosa, namely peripheral ameloblastoma and basaloid squamous cell carcinoma. We were thrilled to read the case reported by Regan and colleagues[1] on their experience of managing a patient with intraoral extension of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) identified during Mohs surgical excision of a lesion on the right upper cutaneous lip.
