Abstract

Objective: To contextualize the professional experience of nurses from the perspective of Systematization of Nursing Care, with a focus on strengthening Primary Health Care and expanding access to resolving and quality. Methods: This is a descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, of the experience report type, on the experience of nurses in the participatory implementation of nursing protocols in the city of Florianópolis - Santa Catarina, Brazil. Results: The experience reported comprised the following phases: Definition of Stakeholders, Conceptual Alignment, Application of a Questionnaire - to survey the expertise of professionals, Establishment of Premises, Validation of Protocols, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Process, General Provisions. It is a practice with great possibility of replication. It is sustainable insofar as the Nursing Commission is strengthened, bringing together professionals with a network vision and a focus on patient care. Conclusion: It was observed the advance of the nurse's work and the expansion of access to the health service. In addition, the use of protocols can help in decision making, focusing on patient safety and support for the professional based or ethical principles of the profession. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
