A dose, age and treatment duration effect was shown. Cyproterone acetate indications in the treatment of hirsutism have been limited to severe cases of hirsutism in premenopausal women. In 2020 the French Endocrine Society has updated recommendations for hirsutim care, including alternatives to cyproterone acetate in case of contra indication, and for women worried to use it.
