Abstract

This article presents information related to popular songs by music bands which have created history. The degree of cynicism that lyricist Bob Dylan introduced, and the idea of bringing more personal lyrics from the folk and blues tradition into popular music, took the music band Rolling Stones from the song "The Last Time," their first remarkable record, to "Satisfaction," just a few months later. The song "Brown Sugar," from the Rolling Stones got its start at a session at Muscle Shoals studios singer W. Mick Jagger scrawled three verses on a stenographer's pad, and performer Keith Richards followed with an impossibly raunchy riff.
