Discusses the possible effect of the steroid drug scandal involving U.S. Major League Baseball (MLB) players on their sponsorship deals and television contracts. Players who testified that they are using steroids and growth hormone provided by the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative; Increase in attendance of the 2003 baseball series; Television networks that have signed contracts with MLB in 2001.
