Abstract
- The paper presents two-dimensional model of gas filtration flow in a porous medium as well as efficient computational algorithm. The analysis of performed numerical calculations showed that when the gas filtration parameters and properties are viewed as functions of pressure, then the studying process can be adequately described as a whole and the numerical results correctly reflect its essence. The results of computer calculations were used to substantiate a decision support system for selecting the operating modes of wells in order to obtain optimal and more economical production routine. Computer calculations demonstrated that the longitudinal-transverse directions scheme in some cases may be more preferable than the locally-one-dimensional method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
