Facility Design: Food Waste Preprocessing.

The article discusses BioCycle CONNECT series on food waste depackaging systems. Topics discussed include importance of minimizing solid contaminants such as papers, plastics, metals, and inert materials prior to the digester; importance of removing contaminants from the feedstock during preprocessing; and ratio of food waste to green waste to digestate can be altered to produce a feedstock.
