Abstract

The article reports on updates of the Covid-19 pandemic in the U.S., particularly the data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showing that 75% of the almost 800,000 deaths were Americans 65 years old and older. According to 65-year-old Pat Hayashi, they lost their freedom and experienced worse isolation and loneliness during the pandemic. Also cited is how older employees are affected by the move by employers to return to the office.
