Abstract

The article focuses on the mixed messages of the Catholic Church in Canada about vaccination against COVID-19 in 2021. It cites the actions taken by the federal government to encourage the public to receive the vaccination such as loss of employment for civil servants. Scholar D. W. Lafferty points out the presence of resistance and populism in the country. Also noted is the promotion of vaccinations by Catholic bishops.
