Abstract
- Malignancy-induced ascites is usually low-SAAG ascites.4 However, the SAAG of our case was above 11 g/L. It should be noted that patients with mixed ascites often have high-gradient ascites. Due to a medical history of hepatitis B-related liver cirrhosis and an ascites puncture examination basically conformed to high SAAG, we initially considered this case as cirrhotic ascites. Ascites is the pathological accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity. [Extracted from the article]
