Abstract
- The article relates the story of band promoter Danny O'Day and his 1978 tribute band Rock and Roll Heaven, whose members underwent plastic surgery to pay tribute to musicians Elvis Presley, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Jim Croce. The band went to television appearances, concerts at clubs and casinos, among others. Presley impersonator Dennis Wise filed a lawsuit for negligence and breach of fiduciary duty against O'Day. Among the members of the band were Ramona Caywood and Jesse Gamble.
