Social Mobility of Catholics College Students in the Northwest.

The article presents a summery to a paper that was delivered in the fifty-first and fifty-second annual meeting of the American Sociological Society. The paper investigates the differential mobility rate among an assumed middleclass stratum in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. The data revealed Irish and English ancestry to be positively associated with longer residence, higher educational achievement, membership in professional and proprietor occupations an higher income.
