Abstract

The mean temperature gradient is small in summer, but it increases in winter up to an average of 0.4 HT <math display="inline" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msup><mi /><mo> </mo></msup></math> ht C m HT <math display="inline" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msup><mi /><mrow><mo>-</mo><mn mathvariant="normal">1</mn></mrow></msup></math> ht along the tower in June. The linear regression slope ranges between HT <math display="inline" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><mo>-</mo><mn mathvariant="normal">0.08</mn></mrow></math> ht and HT <math display="inline" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mrow><mo>-</mo><mn mathvariant="normal">0.17</mn></mrow></math> ht HT <math display="inline" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><msup><mi /><mo> </mo></msup></math> ht C per year, with the smallest (largest) trend at the upper (lower) level.
