Abstract

The article titled "Postoperative Aortic Dissection after Bentall and De Bono Surgery" reports on a clinical case of a 41-year-old man who experienced an aortic dissection after undergoing Bentall and De Bono surgery. The patient went to the emergency room due to weakness and claudication in the lower extremities related to hypotension. Diagnostic imaging tests were performed, confirming the presence of a Stanford A aortic dissection, DeBakey III. The article highlights that the incidence of aortic dissection after cardiac surgery is 15%, and only 3.6% of patients undergoing a Bentall and De Bono procedure require further intervention. It is noted that this complication is relatively rare but with a high mortality rate. [Extracted from the article]
