Freud e a Indústria Cultural: notas sobre a constituição de uma cultura narcisista.

This study seeks to discuss the formation of narcissistic culture from two theoretical perspectives, Freud's psychoanalysis and the concept of Cultural Industry of Critical Theory by Horkheimer and Adorno ([1947] 2002). The approximation of these aspects is due to the historical-social context of the last decades marked by contemporary malaise (anguish, depression, anxiety, panic, etc.). It is understood that the constant fabrication of desires and fetishes contributes to the formation of a narcissistic culture. Thus, there is also the challenge of interpreting a society, more and more, related to the rearrangements of the subjectivities of individuals produced from the media. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
