Abstract

The article informs that concerns about the consequences of adding more gender identification options loom over efforts to make software systems more inclusive in the U.S. It mentions district's student information system, used to digitally track everything from attendance to grades to class assignments, still forced students to identify as either male or female, and schools are making their own moves to be more gender-inclusive.
