- The article focuses on Black Filmmaker Magazine created by director Menelik Shabazz in 1998 and mentions growth of the films "Step Forward Youth" and "Breaking Point" out of community activism with anti-racist agenda. Topics discussed include film "Burning an Illusion" by Shahbazz greeted by Black communities, film writers and Black produced vehicles support for work of Black filmmakers and Blacklight Film Festival in Chicago visited by the filmmmaker.
