Abstract
- The article discusses the International Space University Conference held in Adelaide, Australia, in 2022, highlighting the exponential growth in orbital debris as one of the century's most significant challenges. About 30,000 tiny objects have been tracked in low-Earth orbit. It discusses the launching of rockets at an increasing rate carrying hundreds of new satellites into orbit, which take much space in narrow orbital lanes posing collision risks.
