Abstract

The article presents the discussion on opioid use in pregnancy escalating in parallel with the opioid epidemic in the general population. Topics include Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) having a profound effect on both mothers and infants; and long term health implications having problems with hearing, vision, learning, and behavior.
