Abstract
- The article describes the archaeological site beneath the Dufferin Terrace in Quebec City, Quebec. Evolving from a First Nations meeting place where chiefs welcomed European newcomers to a seat of power, the site features display cases showing artifacts that help to tell the story of the site's four forts and two châteaux. The site's architectural and historical features are said to be easy to observe at an unhurried pace.
