Abstract
- Around 16% of toddlers in Indonesia are reported to have developmental problems in intelligence disorders due to brain development disorders, hearing problems, and motor problems. Rough motoric development is the development of body movement control that integrates several components, namely central nerve activity, peripheral nerves and involving muscles, large muscles for movement development (locomotion), and posture (body position). In 2012, in Lampung Province, there was impaired rough motoric development of 19.7% and impairment of fine motor development of 16.2%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about stimulation to rough motoric development of children aged 36-59 months at Kindergarten of Aisyiyah Pagelaran. This type of quantitative research, research design using cross-sectional, the population in this research was 68 respondents; the sample was 68 samples. Total population sampling technique. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results showed that the frequency distribution of knowledge was good as many as 52 people (59.1%), Normal rough motoric development was 43 people (63.2%). There is a correlation between the mother's level of knowledge about stimulation and the rough motoric development of toddlers aged 36-59 months at Kindergarten of Aisyiyah Pagelaran in 2020, data analysis using chi-square obtained p-value 0,000 <α 0.042. Suggestions in this research are for mothers to increase their knowledge to prevent disruption of rough motoric development in children. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
