FACTORS OF THE DOMINANCE OF THE QURAISH DIALECT IN THE LANGUAGE IDENTITY OF THE ARABS.

This paper, by collecting and structuring the data found in the relevant literature, reveals the historical progress of the Quraysh dialect of Arabic versus other dialects, namely lists and analyzes the various factors that led to its culmination, that classical Arabic, that of today and the linguistic identity of the Arabs in general, to be dominated and standardized by and with the Quraysh dialect. Revealing the diversity of factors found - seven of them, this paper proves that the status of the Quraysh dialect is not the result of a political imposition, but a natural reality of the multifaceted development of the Quraysh tribe and dialect.
