Abstract
- The article discusses the investigation conducted by Italian aviation researcher Freddy Furlan into the wreckage of a Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bomber discovered by divers in the Adriatic Sea near Grado, Italy. Topics explored include the 1945 airstrikes led by American military air pilot Howard Hanson aboard the said bomber, the examination of the aircraft's engine and machine gun by Furlan, and the DNA testing of the human remains gathered from the wreckage.
