Artificial Intelligence offers a wide range of opportunities in the library domain. Among other applications, machine learning methods are suitable for discovery in digitised historical book collections. This article presents two examples for the use of machine learning in provenance research about collections of the Austrian National Library. We have used Convolutional Neural Networks as binary image classifiers. We also want to demonstrate that simple settings can already yield good results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
