Abstract

The article shares the initiatives of Latina teachers in enhancing computer science education in K-12 in the U.S. Topics mentioned include Alicia Moris' introduction of HTML programing and teaching the role of computing in society, Megan Bowen's initiative to increase the number of LGBTQ+ students in computer science, and Mayne Gonzales-Osorio's decision to train teachers in problem-solving approach called computational thinking.
