The adoption of constructivist theories in the definition of informal learning that occurs in museums and science centers has encouraged these institutions to be increasingly concerned with the individual needs of their visitors. This paper aims to present some contributions from various authors related to the classification of visitors according to their behaviors, interests and motivations. In particular, we discuss Howard Gardner's proposal on multiple intelligences for the design of interactive exhibits and scientific exhibitions and, accordingly, we emphasize the situation of exhibitions that include new technologies in their design.
