Abstract
- The tempered low carbon-low alloy steel achieves excellent strength, plasticity, local deformability and toughness. The impressive local deformability and impact toughness are mainly due to the impediment to crack propagations of multilevel boundaries and dispersed fine carbides, demonstrating the intrinsic relationships between the toughness and local formability in tensile testing.
