Abstract

The fitted Graph HT <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mi>a</mi><mi>c</mi><mrow><msub><mi>c</mi><mrow><mi>l</mi><mi>a</mi><mi>t</mi></mrow></msub></mrow><mo>-</mo><mi>a</mi><mi>c</mi><mrow><msub><mi>c</mi><mrow><mi>l</mi><mi>o</mi><mi>n</mi><mi>g</mi></mrow></msub></mrow></math> ht conditional bivariate probability distributions clearly depict that the acceleration characteristics vary with the type of subject vehicle involved. Further, the modal values of the bivariate Graph HT <math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mi>a</mi><mi>c</mi><mrow><msub><mi>c</mi><mrow><mi>l</mi><mi>a</mi><mi>t</mi></mrow></msub></mrow><mo>-</mo><mi>a</mi><mi>c</mi><mrow><msub><mi>c</mi><mrow><mi>l</mi><mi>o</mi><mi>n</mi><mi>g</mi></mrow></msub></mrow></math> ht copula models were estimated corresponding to speeds exceeding 20 kmph for all vehicle types.
