Abstract
- The article presents a study which analyzed the arsenic (As), ammonia (NH3), and iron (Fe) concentrations in the drinking water treatment plant (DWTP) wastewater stabilization pond (WSP) system of five sequential ponds in Saskatchewan. Also cited are the elevated concentrations of contaminants like heavy metals, metalloids, and ammonia in DWTP wastewaters, and the use of groundwater as a source water of the DWTPs.
