A veterinary hospital in Kunming received a case of genital prolapse of Sulcata tortoise (Geochelone sulcata) The clinical examination showed that the penis was depressed, unwilling to move, and the penis prolapsed from the cloaca, about 2 cm in length, in a disc shape, black, and some tissues were slightly necrotic. The prolapsed material was firm when touching, with a small amount of blood oozing out. Using DR and blood smear examination could further exclude the influence of factors such as stones, and the associated examinations show that the tortoise was simple genital prolapse; surgery was then taken to treat the prolapse and necrosis of the affected turtle. The genitals of the patient were excised and sutured. After the operation, Baytril was given antibacterial and anti-inflammatory and meloxicam analgesia. The turtle healed after a week.
