Abstract
- The authors discuss a randomized clinical trial reported by L. S. Cox and colleagues within the issue which offers evidence that cigarette smoking by African American individuals can be addressed more successfully. Topics include difference of the smoking patterns of African American individuals from those of some other racial and ethnic groups, possible reason for the lower rates of use of smoking cessation treatments by African Americans who smoke, and finding on the use of varenicline.
