Abstract
- In the article, the author discusses the differences between Epistles and Gospels, particularly on the alleged greater role of memory in the Gospels and the immediacy of the Epistles. Also cited are the claim of Gospels as remembered truth, the ancient Christian manuscript titled "The Martyrdom of Polycarp," and the reasons why the Gospels should not be considered as memoirs.
