Abstract
- In the article, the author discusses the important role played by social workers in advocating for their patients and families and in educating medical staff about their possible racist comments about their patients. Also cited are how transference can enable natural empathy among clinicians to provide great and empathic care, and the alleged possible implicit bias by White clinicians in caring for their young patients of color.
