Abstract

These inequities include high incidence of AF risk factors, poor awareness and detection of AF, low access to AF treatment, and high prevalence of AF-related complications among individuals residing in neighborhoods at greater disadvantage. The most notable difference between those residing in low versus high neighborhood deprivation areas was the rate of AF ablation within a year of AF diagnosis (adjusted hazard ratio, 0.45 [95% CI, 0.30-0.67]). Editorials, atrial fibrillation, cardiovascular diseases, heart disease risk factors, disparities, public health, residence characteristics. [Extracted from the article]
