Search for vector-like bottom with decay B→Zb considering large width effect at high energy e−γ collision.

Abstract
- We focus on the large width effect on the possibility of excluding or discovering the vector-like bottom quark that is singlet under SU(2) transform at the e − γ collisions. Focusing on the 3 TeV stage of the future Compact Linear Collider (CLIC), the process of single vector-like bottom quark production e − γ → B → b Z t ̄ ν e is investigated. Subsequently, the Z boson decays to one light-flavor lepton pair Z → e + e − (μ + μ −) , and the top quark decay to W boson and bottom quark following with W boson hadronic decay t ̄ → W − b ̄ → b ̄ j j. By launching a comprehensive signal and background collider simulation, we obtain 2 σ exclusion limit and 5 σ discovering prospect based on coupling strength and mass of vector-like quark. We assume the integrated luminosity is 5 ab − 1 . Specially, we take the systemic uncertainty effect on the possibility of excluding or discovering the vector-like bottom quark into account. We find that the excluding irrelated region is g ∗ ∈ [ 0. 2 3 , 0. 5 ] (0. 3 1 , 0. 5) and m B ∈ [ 1 2 0 0 , 1 8 8 0 ] (1 2 0 0 , 1 6 7 0)  GeV, and the discovering irrelated region is g ∗ ∈ [ 0. 3 6 , 0. 5 ] (0. 4 7 , 0. 5) and m B ∈ [ 1 2 0 0 , 1 5 5 0 ] (1 2 0 0 , 1 2 9 0)  GeV in view of the systemic uncertainty δ = 0 (1 0 %).
