In 2004, therefore, the name of the symposium was changed from LCMD to ADMD to include these advanced display devices, and the publication of the proceedings of ADMD was started as a special issue of Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals. Nine plenary lectures, 24 invited lectures, and 95 poster papers were presented and there were more than 200 participants.
