Abstract
- Describes trends that may partially undermine the success of the 1987 Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer environmental treaty involving the use of methyl bromide. Production of the ozone-depleting fumigant; Decision to phase out use of methyl bromide in developed countries by 2005; Decline in methyl bromide consumption in the U.S. from 1991 to 2003.
