Erratum: "Mitigation of self-focusing in Thomson scattering experiments" [Phys. The signal-to-noise ratio for a Thomson-scattering probe beam with a phase plate was calculated at the peaks of the collective ion-acoustic wave (blue dots) and electron-plasma wave (red dash) features for ne = 8.5 × 1019 cm-3, Te/Ti = 4, and Z = 1 and Z = 7 in a 55% hydrogen and 45% nitrogen mix. A Thomson-scattered spectrum wavelength resolved into bins sufficient to resolve the peak locations of both the electron plasma (outer two) and ion acoustic (inner two) wave features.
