The Superior Court of Justice of Galicia has ruled in favor of Stolt Sea Farm SA in an administrative appeal against the Consellería do Mar of the Xunta de Galicia. The company requested a 50-year extension for its marine farm in Carnota, A Coruña, but was only granted 10 years. The court has annulled the resolution and has recognized Stolt's right to a 50-year extension starting from December 5, 2019. Additionally, the court has established that extension periods should start counting from the date of the request and disagrees with the interpretation that limits the extension to one-fifth for facilities on the seashore.
